In this course you I will share detailed and simple ways that you can determine which business structure is best for you. These are the fundamental building blocks for your business, without them you risk overpaying in taxes or getting in trouble with the IRS.

You will also receive step by step guidance on the proper bookkeeping and record-keeping required when running a business. Plus, you will understand how you are taxed now that you are in business, so you can avoid those large unexpected tax bills.

Hello! I'm Safietou D. Russell, but you can call me Safie.
I'm the founder of SDR Consulting Inc., a virtual firm specializing in Tax, Accounting, and Business Consulting Services. With over two decades of experience, my mission is to empower entrepreneurs and business owners like you to take control of your finances through expert Tax and Accounting Consulting and practical Training.
I fell in love with Accounting back in high school during my first Bookkeeping course, and that passion only grew. I graduated magna cum laude from SUNY Albany with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2002, followed by a Master of Science in Taxation from Florida Atlantic University in 2005. I’m also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), IRS Enrolled Agent (EA), and a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
My career began with 16 years in Public Accounting, where I honed my skills in serving startups, small business owners, and Real Estate professionals. In 2014, I founded SDR Consulting to blend my professional expertise with a flexible lifestyle that allows me to spend quality time with my family. Since then, I've helped countless clients streamline their financial processes, resolve tax issues, and implement Accounting strategies.
Today, my focus is on providing comprehensive Tax and Accounting Consulting services, as well as Training programs designed to demystify complex financial topics. Whether you need guidance on Bookkeeping best practices or optimizing your Business’s financial systems, I’m here to support you.
When I'm not helping clients navigate their financial journeys, you’ll likely find me dancing or enjoying time with my husband and two wonderful children.
